CBSE 2021 exams cancelled (India)

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the 2021 examinations administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for Class 10 and Class 12 have been cancelled.

The decision to cancel Class 10 examinations was made in April. At that time, Class 12 examinations were only postponed, with plans to hold the examinations in July or August.

However, as of 1 June 2021, the government decided to cancel CBSE Class 12 examinations as well. Students' results for both levels will be determined according to criteria set by the board.

Following the decision on CBSE exams, other exam boards such as the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and the Haryana Board of School Education have also cancelled their Class 12 examinations. Other state boards are expected to do the same.
