As part of an Erasmus+ initiative to promote transnational partnerships between higher education institutions in Europe, the European Commission is preparing to develop a pilot program for a joint European degree label. In the Erasmus+ press release, the Commission indicates the label would be issued as a certificate to graduates of transnational joint programs. In addition to the joint European label, the initiative also aims to explore the possibility of a European legal status for higher education partnerships across EU borders.
