Guinea's Private University Sector Plans to Strike over Fees

A general strike in private higher education, in an attempt to force the Guinean government to regulate fees for the 2013-2014 academic year, may take place in February. The Ministry of Higher Education explains the delays in support payments due to Ebola outbreak and other economic difficulties in the country. The strike, originally scheduled for January 30 was rescheduled for February 15.
