Institutions in Liberia shut down for failure to meet NCHE requirements

The National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) has shut down four institutions for not meeting its accreditation standards. The decision was made after inspections were made to the relevant campuses, as well as due to additional irregularities with accreditation or licensure, and lack of compliance with the NCHE regulations.

The closed institutions include:

  • Vision International Christian College of Liberia around the Paynesville Town Hall
  • Leigh Sherman Community College in Paynesville
  • Christian Theological Seminary in the Jamaica Road community
  • St. Clements University College
