A total of 293,766 international student enrollments in 2014/15 academic year proves to be the record high number, with its 10% increase from previous year.
California, New York, Texas, Massachusetts, and Illlinois were the top five host states for international students. China, India, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Canada were the top five countries sending the international students to the U.S. Interestingly, the biggest relative increase for incoming students came from Brazil (78.2% increase), India (29.4% increase), and Kuwait (24%).
U.S. students travelling abroad favored the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, and China as their top study-abroad destinations.
