Shihezi University offers a slightly different five-year Bachelor of Medicine program for foreign students. It is mostly tailored towards the recruitment of students from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The graduates still are awarded the standard MOE-approved Bachelor of Medicine degree in the specialty of Clinical Medicine, which is verifiable through the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC).
However, instead of standard transcript the students are issued a Detail Marks Certificate. The marks certificate does not include hours. The majority of subjects are listed out of 200 maximum marks with the fifth-year clinical internship subjects listed out of 100 marks.
As of 2016, the medical program is offered as a six-year sequence consisting of 5 years of academic work + 1 year of internship.
