New 12th grade School Leaving Certificate Examination to be administered this Spring (Nepal)

Following the 8th Amendment to the Education Act of 1972, the new system of school education was extended from 10 years to 12 years, thereby replacing the existing examination bodies and examinations with new structures. The new School Leaving Certificate Examination, administered at the end of 12th grade (previously administered at the end of 10th grade only) will begin in April 2017.  This means that students who are currently in 11th and 12th grades will sit their school-end exam once more as they transition between the old and the new system.
