New to Credential Evaluation? This e-Learning series can help.

ECE® e-learning: Introduction to Credential Evalutation 5-part series

ECE® Director of Global Initiatives, Marybeth Gruenewald, chats about the upcoming special 5-part Introduction to Credential Evaluation e-learning series.

Marybeth GruenewaldWhy a 5-part series?

I felt it was time to develop a more formal series that would focus on training new staff who evaluate academic credentials for university admissions, recruitment, professional licensure, or employment.

The most common question on our Connection Message Board: “Is this institution recognized in Country A?” This series is intended to give you the tools to answer questions like this.

What does the series cover?

We designed the introductory program to be quick, one-hour online sessions with quizzes. We start with the basics of the evaluation process and move into documentation issues. What’s official? What’s authentic?

Then we move into tackling diploma mills and providing solid information on determining the status of a higher education institution.

Practical information such as examining a foreign transcript and learning how to calculate a GPA is covered, and then we tackle some troublesome issues such as fraud and transnational education.

In light of the refugee crisis, non-verifiable documentation, a very hot topic, is also included.

Are there any resources included?

Yes! We provide a handout for each session. Putting all 5 handouts together = a great resource for your office…..for years to come.

Once all 5 sessions are completed, we’ll send a quiz to all attendees. Complete the quiz and receive a Certificate of Completion.

SPECIAL OFFER: We are offering a discount of $100 off the total cost of all 5 sessions.  I encourage senior staff to take advantage of this unified program of online study for your new employees.
