Certificación por Evaluaciones Parciales EXACER (Certificate of Partial Assessment EXACER) is an ofifcial credential for students who have the Certificado de Secundaria (Certificate of Secondary Education) earned after 9 years of schooling, but who have either completed no bachillerato (upper secondary) studies or only completed some bachillerato studies.
Students register for the exams through the Colegio de Bachilleres (COBACH) website. Once scheduled, they take the exam at a local testing center. Exam results are available online.
Unlike the CENEVAL-administered bachillerato/media superior (baccalaureate/upper secondary education) exams, EXACER exams are based specifically on the COBACH curriculum.
Students can request an official Certificado de Terminación de Estudios (Certificate of Completed Studies), in a digital format with a QR code, issued by the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP). The electronic certificate has full legal validity across the country.
For incomplete studies, the certificate confirms partial completion by indicating whether the student passed the plan de estudios (study plan) “total" (entirely) or " parcialmente” (partially).
